Dear Mr. lybrate-user, chest infection is the cause of your cough & bloody sputum.
Kindly get a chest x-ray (pa view) and send it with your old CBC report to Lybrate forum and consult a pulmonologist.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Zyloprim (allopurinol) works well to prevent gout attacks and is cheaper than some alternatives, but it takes a few weeks to start working. Uloric (febuxostat) is a medication you take once daily for gout, but it takes a few weeks to kick in.
Benemid (probenecid) can be used to lower high uric acid levels in people with gout, but it is not a first-choice treatment because it takes a long time to kick in.

Dear ,
if you are taking ciprofloxacin 500 mg then take 1 hour before meals or 2 hours after meals with only water and not with milk for 15 days and check urine again to see pus cells have come down to 5 or less. Medications fine.
