My wife is suffering from fever 40 days widal test positive Urine culture shows staphylococcus (negative) significant. Taking doxycycline100, linezolid 600 mg for last 12 days. But she is developing weakness joint pain loss of appetite & nausea. What could be possible reason. She is 42 yrs. Is she is also suffering from typhoid apart from urine infection.

Now a days, Typhi-dot is accurate test than widal test for typhoid diagnosis. It is very strange that your wife has been suffering from fever since 40 days due to typhoid or UTI. Generally medicines takes two weeks or little more times in resist case to cure typhoid or UTI.

Hi, my father is 64, diabetic and had two heart strokes in the last 15 days, treated with stent. Has low blood pressure as well (110/50), doctors advised him to take Telma 20 mg in the afternoon along with other medications such as Novastat, Zytanix, cardrone linezolid. Zytanix is required if patient has swelling and breathlessness. Telma helps the heart to pump more easily. You should continue telma unless BP is falling even lower to below 100. Satanic requirement is decided by fluid retention in body and lungs.

Is osteomyelitis curable disease? Eve after 2 surgery bone infection still there last 6 months. Infection due to mrsa. Still pus discharge from post surgery stitched. Fed up of having linezolid. Though it is sensitive medicine for mrsa:(.please help is bone infection curable problem or lifelong manageable problem?

Osteomyelitis is usually recurring condition unfortunately.
Antibiotics can help to control the infection but usually it recurs. Sadly!

My father is diabetic with blood sugar (fasting) 137. His right thumb is swollen near the tip at the nail since the past 10 days. The thumb is very painful and full of pus. It is swollen and the pain is unbearable when it touches something. He has been taking an antibiotic called linezolid from past 5 days but no improvement till now. Please suggest some remedy as it's getting very difficult to be with the pain. Height: 5.10 weight: 88 kg diabetic no allergy.

Condition seems to be ingrowing thumbnail, not uncommon in diabetics and is seen when nail is trimmed excessively. Please consult a doctor near you it may requre removal of pus and regular cleaning and dressing. Also antiotic may need to change and anyi inflammatory medicines added.
Keep blood sugar strictly controlled for early recovery.

Hi Team, My anal fistula is completely recovered without any pus or blood. However, I still feel pain inside sometimes. It's almost 2 months over after my surgery. So only pain I have, no pus and blood. So it will take more time to get over with pain. Does fistula occur again after my surgery without any pus and blood. I am still taking antibiotics like Linid (linezolid) and Farobact 200 recommend by surgeon. Kindly suggest with pus and blood I recovered bit I am feeling pain. So is it serious? Thanks

Hi, previously my frnd had a problem of constipation, he is allergic with vitamin c, citrus fruits and can't digest any dairy product not even milk, and now he is suffering from anal abscess and discharging the pus from anal please help me what to do. Can he take turmeric tablets? Is it save or not? Plzzz help me out from this and also he previously suffered alot with gastrointestinal relax syndrome. Hi. I am 24 year old female. I am suffering from scalp folliculitis since past two years. I get white painful pustules on my head. Usually they are 5-7 in number but I have noticed once in 15 days I get a really bad break out where they increase to 20-25. They are all over my head. Frontal hair line. In between and even at the back of my head. They start with a reddish eruption and then convert into white pustules. I have sought different treatments. Initially I was on amoxicillin 500 mg twice a day. Then I was on linox 600 mg twice a day for 7 days along with topical clindamycin solution. This would clear up the pustules for 15 days but then they would return back worse than before. Skin prick test was also done and I avoided things which came positive on it like coconut, beans etc. I have tried homeopathy as well. I was given doses of hepar sulphur. Adel 73 and mezereum and a combination of others too but nothing really helped. Homeopathic medications would not dry it out. Have been given neem tablets too and neem oil which I took for 8 months along with turmeric tablets but that didn’t help too. I’m a student and my condition effects my studies a lot. Some days it gets difficult to even comb my hair hence I cannot go to college which effects my attendance. Kindly suggest me a way out of this terrible disease and I am losing hope.

My daughter (7 years) is suffering from adenoids. We had a surgery in the month May 2015 and was alright. Now in the month of November 2015 onwards she is complaining ear pain and formed BUZZ and went to doctor and prescribed SIZON tablet in the night and after a month while doing buzz culture test and it comes staphylococcus virus comes negative and treated with CADLIZO tablet (Linezolid) and became alright and entire buzz vanished and good for a month. Now from 2 weeks back she started the same and buzz formed again and SIZON tablet prescribed and complaining ear pain also. Could you please help in what may be wrong and suggest need to do any further diagnosis?

My father is 73 years old, has pacemaker implanted, suffers from hypertension, takes medicine Telma 40. Recently,on two occasion he got sick, felt redness ,not able to walk, while on road and on checking ,BP was found as low as 87/46 etc. Further checking in home for two days revealed that in the morning his BP remains low like ,99/70 and in night like 169/99. Recently he got a wound and for that he had to take tedvac and medicines like cefixime 200+,Linezolid600, Chy moral forte, bifilac,amoxicillin and cloxacillin 625 etc as per advice of two different doctors. Now ,What may be the reason behind such BP fluctuation and what should be the treatment?

Change dose to 20 mg twice daily. Measure BP only after patient has rested for 10 minutes. Skip evening dose occasionally when patient having fever or upset stomach.
