I am on rheumatoid arthritis allopathy treatment since few years, but since few months I have severe hair fall problem. I am taking rumalef 20 mg 1OD, calton d 500.1 OD, folvvite 1 OD, HCQS 300 1 OD, folitrex 50 injection subcutaneous 0.6 ml weekly. Please suggest me something.

Do not wash hair with hot water for the very same reason, always use cold water or water at room temperature. Dry and frizzy hair when you walk out of the shower is the indication that the water was too hot for your hair.

Hi I am 62 year old. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis almost 6 yrs backand I had been taking lefra and folvite since then. Also last year I was diagnosed of shingles and for that I was given some wrong medication which reacted and I was hospitalized for 15 days. I have become quite weak after this. Since then I am not taking any other medicene other than lefra and folvite. From almost last one month I am again feeling that arthiritis pain in my hand. Can you please give any suggestion?

Acute flareups. Feeling arthritis pain in your hands. Is managed well by a bridging course of steroids and also increasing the dose of lefra or adding another dmds depending upon the clinical findings. Do consult your nearest rheumatologist

Very difficult to say its drugs, unlikely because of such long-term use. Usually, these drugs cause rashes at the start. Would be better to show dermatologist who can think of alternative rather than blaming drugs, which is very easy to do and stop. But before stopping drugs please consult your rheumatologist too. Try increasing folic acid to 5 mg once daily, except on the day of folitrax. If you still continue to have ulcers, consult your rheumatologist. If you have skin rashes or loose stools along with oral ulcers, then stop medication and consult your rheumatologist immediately.

Im 35 years old. I had my 20 week tab ultrasound (2D) on 02.06.2018 and the sonography said everything looked good. I don't know why im getting worried after the ultrasound, I started reading about cleft lips. Would the sonography have caught a cleft lip in 2D scan or not? My question is do sonographers look for this in 2D scan or shall I opt for 3D/4D scan again? Are cleft lips usually caught in 2D ultrasounds? If they didn't say anything should I feel pretty confident that no cleft lip was detected? please suggest.

Meet a speech therapist for the delayed speech. Do a hearing test if not done earlier.

Hello. There are other options like leflunomide, in case you are intolerant to methotrexate. Considering you are already on steroids and 2 dmards (sulfasalazine & hcqs), I would suggest you take any biologics therapy for better control of your disease like adalimumab or etanercept or tofacitinib etc.
