You can add alpha glucosidase inhibitor to control PP after consulting your doctor. You can also switch to basal plus tnsulin therapy consulting your physician/ diabetologist/ endocrinologist by adding short acting insulin before largest meal. Yes you can switch to wockhardt or lupin brand for economic reason otherwise they are not superior what you are already taking.

The data extrapolated from this trial is revealing promising and positive results. The oral formulation of this insulin, currently named ormd-0801, is in capsule form. Oramed pharmaceuticals is the first pharmaceutical company to attempt oral insulin that has progressed this far in the trial.
But you should not take anything without doctor's advise as it may be harmful.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

My mother is having diebities since last 10 years at an average level of 200 to 280 (fasting) now our family doctor had suggest to stat give insulin (lantus soloster) now the sugar level is from 100 to 140. Now I wanted to know that does this insulin has any side effects or not. And if yes what are they. And for how long will I have to continue this insulin treatments, is there any chances that insulin will be stop in future. Currently my mother's age is 50 years and also having asthama problem and unit of insulin is given from 8unit to 18 units. (2 unit is increased as sugar level rises above 110, and accordingly decrease if sugar level comes below 110 (fasting)). Is it true that once you stat giving insulin, it will have to continue whole life, it can't be stop, as other tablets will now be less effective. My mother is taking tablets 1) glix m. 3 times a day 2) pioz 15. Once daily 3) telecast a once daily 4) faracort 400. Twice daily 5) tiova. Twice daily please help me, I am confused.

consider this...your mothers body has stopped producing insulin ..thereby resulting in diabetes..u supply it externally as injections to fulfill that deficiency..whats the harm in it? we should be thankful that we live in an era where insulin is available ..otherwise in past there was lot of mortality due to diabetes....start insulin straightaway without any doubts

Hi, in t1 diabetes, unless blood sugar is properly monitored and insulin dosage is correctly adjusted, hypoglycemic episodes can occur. You may talk to your physician and see how effectively sugar levels are maintained. This is not a situation which can be addressed by online consultation. It needs a close monitoring between you and your physician. Also you may think of using insulins like glargine or degludec which are peakless.

is it cartridges that you mean.

The insulin used in cartridges which are used in pen devices are more stable and once it is open has good functionality till a month.

If buying in bulk can be stored in the door of refrigerator.
