Hi, I am 29 years old with diabetes mellitus type 2. Am taking galvus met 50mg/1000mg daily twice. At night am taking 1 actos 30mg. Still my fasting sugar level is 220. I am not using any sugar food and rice. Kindly advice. My hba1c is 12.

As you have taken pep in time, you are protected ftom hiv but not from other stds.

Sir Presently i am taking EPTOIN 100MG*3=300MG after meal before sleeping.But due to the medicine my taste is very bad. I don't like anything to eat. Previously i was taking (LEVIFOL 500MG) morning & eveing daily for a week but my taste buds were even worse and i was not able to sit at a place. i used to feel like going out of home but after having eptoin my situation was better. my question to you is that my docter has adviced me again to take levifol500mg so according to you which medicine should i take keeping my situation in mind. Thank You!

You can take eptoin as long as your seizures are under control and you do not develop any adverse reactions to eptoin.

I am 52 years old and had blood pressure problem. In 2010 blood sugar was detected fasting 150 & post fasting 225. Glucoman 500g. I took it for more than 2 years and sugar was under control. But for last 9 month I was erratic as the med was not available in lagos nigeria. About a fortnight back my sugar was high fasting 320 and post fasting 452. Now my doc prescribed me janumet 50mg/1000mg twice a day. The sugar has come down to fasting 150 and post fasting 275. Moreover the bp has also come down 75/130. Can you suggest what to do.

Iam 48yrs old man. I have been detected diabetes with sugar level 180 fasting and 200 after meals. I have been advised to take galvus met 50mg-500mg before lunch and bfore dinner. Shall I continue with same or suggest other medicine. I dont have bp or cholestrol. But feel little acidity since taking this medicine. Also feel numbness in feet for which taking neurobian forte. Kindly advice.

You can continue same. Initial few days there will be acidity but it subside with time. So dont worry.

My husband took Thyrocare test. Below results were found. Hs-crp greater than 9.65 mg/mg LDL: 128 mg/dl HDL: 35 mg/dl I am worried about high hs-crp value. It says it's greater than 9.65 but how much, it is not mentioned. He is 30 years old. One year back hs-crp was 2.66 mg/ml. It all increased in one year.

In staring I used eptoin 300mg-350mg, I am using levipil 500 mg twice a day from 2013 jan. Can I stop medication as I am not suffering with fits about 4.5 years or not, so that I will consult doctor after your opinion.

As per standard protocols, there needs to at least 5 years of seizure free period before tapering and stopping medications. Newer protocols followed by some doctors believe in stopping medications even if there is 1 year of seizure free interval. It is best that you consult with your neurologist and let him decide on what is best for you.
