Continue acitrom and regularly check pt/ inr levels to ensure adequate dosage.
May have to repeat doppler to check recanalisation of deep veins.
Acitrom may have to be continued for lt least 1 year or maybe life long depending on precipitated/ spontaneous dvt.
Wear compression stockings.

HI . Sorry to hear about your problem. It is good that you are feeling well after the stent. Please do not stop any medications till you speak to your cardiologist. You may be able to come off some of the medicines but you will have to be on others for life. These medications will be continued to prevent your risk of developing new blockages.

Consult your cardiologist who'll give detailed instructions regarding stopping n restarting of your certain daily medicines before n after surgery. Additionally you'll b given antibiotics too. However oral prophylaxis is mandatory before you undergo cardiac surgeries. Take cardiologist written consent before you visit dentist for any dental procedures. Regards.

Glad to hear that you are concerned about your Granny's health. The complaints of passing black stools suggests that she is having bleeding from the stomach or upper intestine; unless she is taking oral iron tablets. Given the history that she is taking ecosprin and clopidogrel, which are blood thinners and prone to cause stomach ulcers, it is a high possibility. You must get her evaluated as early as possible.
