Hi, my brother has epilepsy since 5 years and he suffer from sezuire once a year only. He was on keppra 750 mg twice daily. After last sezuire his neuro added 5 mg clobazam at night dose once a day. I researched about it online as it shows less sedative qualities as my worry was that my brother is young about 23 years and he drinks casually. Sometimes less and sometimes ever more, so will clobazam only 5 mg at night be a concern if drinks and takes medicine after coming home?

Alcohol can increase the nervous system side effects of clobazam such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with clobazam.

Hello I am epileptic patient for last 10 years, having epilive 1000 mg twice and zenoxa 600 mg morning and 900 mg evening. But zenoxa is reducing my salt level very low. Doctor has now reduced my zenoxa and I had seizure. SHOULD I reduce zenoxa and doctor wants to stop zenoxa and start another medical seizgard 100 mg. Anyone have problem with zenoxa? Please help.

Hi I am have ocd destructive from years ago my age now 26 my height 174 my weight 66 so I go to doctor before 4 years and I say to him my ocd but he gave me medicine for epilepsy and I was don't have any epilepsy and I was don't know any thing about it unfortunately and I use it 5 months so I wanted to get rid of it and after I got rid of it and I got epilepsy directly unfortunately so I go to anther doctor he gave to me medicine for the epilepsy keppra and tegrital and I am don't get any epilepsy from this the 4 years however I am increased to my the ocd I don't have any friend I afraid to touch any thing to go to wash my hands and I have depression and anxiety and tension and my sleep not good at all and anther things. So the thing I want is faverin dose 300 heavily so can I use with keppra 1000 and tegrital 800 daily? And can I use rozerem also please? Because I can't sleep many days for years? And thank you very much.

You need to be careful about the drug interactions. Tegretol (carbamazepine) can reduce levels of rozerem (ramelteon) whereas faverin (fluoxamine) can increase it. Faverin can increase levels of tegretol and that can be worrisome if not closely monitored. There are other solutions for your ocd.

Dear Sir, I wish to consume Ashwagandha as I very much depressed by my marriage. My husband is not earning all burden on me. I am already consuming levepsy 500 mg 1.5 - 1.5 and Frissum 10 mg -1 in a day. I always think negative. Please advise will ashwagandha reduce my stress and reduce my negative thinking. Hello Doctor, I am on treatment for epilepsy since 2008. Eeg, mri reports are normal. Taking 1g sodium valproate and 750 mg Levetiracetam since then. Had total 6 seizure attacks in the last 11 years. Reason - Sleep was less. Last fit was 3 years back in Aug 2015. Should I continue taking the medicine? Please advise as I really do not want to take medicine unnecessarily. Also, me and my wife are thinking of planning baby now. Does this medicine has any impact on sperm? Thanks.

Respected doctor. I need few suggestion. My mother suddenly had seizure in 2018. After the ct scan and mri, dctrs told that less oxygen supplied to brain. Then they prescribed levetiracetam 500 twice daily. Then my mother after taking medicine for 1 month missed her 5doses and again it happened. But after that she is taking her medicines and it did not happened anymore. Its one year now. Please suggest me if it is curable. Or it can be cured by taking the medicines. Please.

You have to continue medicine without any break for next 3 years and then only it will be tapered off by your doctor.

The EEG of your mother needs to be studied to say if she will treatment for life long or not . The ayurvedic or homoeopathy medicines will not help in curing this
