Doctor advised rosuvastatin 5 mg to bring down cholesterol and mytiomega 3 to bring down triglyceride but after two months l got myself tested for cholesterol and triglyceride cholesterol levels have come down to 153 and triglyceride to 190 but one problem is that liver enzymes sgot and sgpt has increased. To 39 and 46 respectively and globulin to 4.now please advise which medicine l should take to keep liver enzymes in normal range. Please advise.

Recently in a month I have undergone blood test. In the first test, triglycerides was 409 which was done on 14 jun 2022. In the second test, triglycerides was 235 which was done on 3 jul 2022. After this, Dr. prescribed rosuvastatin 10 mg to be taken daily at night. I want to cross check is this medicine is appropriate? It has to be taken life long or it can be stopped after lowering triglycerides?

Sir, rosuvastatin doesn't reduce triglycerides, this drug is for reducing ldl value. Detailed history and complete lipid profile needs to be seen to further comment on duration of treatment and as diabetic patients are more prone for dyslipidemia, statin might be started by the doctor.

Mood stabilizers may be addictive and also cause such side effects. Which ones?
Rosuvastatin and aspirin probably over medication, required after heart attacks, not before.

I am 58 years male weighing 64 kg and height 166cms. With hypertension since 1984, under regular treatment, and well controlled. I have a family history of diabetes too. My blood sugar levels, since last 3 years are - fastng levels 110 -120 mgs and two hours after meals are around 200- 240. And hba1c is 6. 6. My diabetologist has prescribed me rosuvastatin 10 mgs at bedtime with tab. Metformin 250 mgs intially [started only 1 week ago]. I read that statins also lead to high blood sugars and also insulin resistance. I wonder if I should stop both rosuvastatin and metformin and pay attention to diet and exercise. I am also receiving antidepressant like amixide h 1 tab at bed time and fluexetin 10 mgs once a day in the morning. Can you help me and advise please?

Please find below my diabetes history and medicines taken 13 march 2020 triglyceride – 337 (mg/dl) tsh – 22.160 fasting plasma glucose – 346 (mg/dl) start with below medicine – jubira f10 (after dinner) thyrox 125- empty stomach in morning (earlier through – 100 was taken) jubiglim m1 1 tab in morning before breakfast 1/2 tab in evening before dinner 18 march fasting plasma glucose – 195 (mg/dl) jubiglim m2 (diabetes dose increased) 1 tab in morning before breakfast 1 tab in evening before dinner 23 march fasting plasma glucose – 126 after 1: 50 hours of lunch – 166 jubiglim m2 1 tab in morning before breakfast 1/2 tab in evening before dinner 6 april 2020 fasting plasma glucose – 100 reduce dose to half (morning) jubiglim m2 1/2 tab in morning before breakfast 1/2 tab in evening before dinner april 30 fasting plasma glucose – 94 after 1: 50 hours of dinner - 101 reduce dose to ¼ of tab (night) jubiglim m2 1/2 tab in morning before breakfast 1/4 tab in evening before dinner 2 may, fasting plasma glucose - after 1: 50 hours of breakfast - 102 please suggest now if can reduce dose.

Hi,
your sugars are coming to good control, so suggest you take jubiglim m2 half tablet before breakfast repeat fasting and 2 hours post breakfast sugars after 10 days and respond.

My cholesterol is high since last three years and I was regularly taking rosuvastatin 10 mg tablet till two months ago, I stopped taking it be coz I was feeling full body ache and joint pains along with low sugar feeling in the evening. But since I stopped it my cholesterol level has again reached to 286 in two months so my question is 1) should I again start same medicine 2) is there any alternative to this medicine 3) is there any supporting medicine to to same medicine for avoiding aftereffects/side effects. Recently I got my blood test through Thyrocare. Iron is 129.9 microgram/dl. Total iron binding capacity (TIBC) is 191microgram/dl. The % Transferrin saturation is 68.01%. All other values are with in normal range including GGT, SGOT and SGPT. I am a heart patient with one stent fixed in 2013. I am taking clopidogrel75 mg, Nebivolol 5 mg, Telmisartan 20 mg and rosuvastatin 10 mg daily. What is the significance of high % transferrin saturation values? What is the problem expected and possible treatment?

There is no significance but if you are taking any other iron supplements than we can stop using it and plan for symptomatic treatment and make sure you are having a healthy lungs

Sorry to learn that in spite of so many medicines your blood sugar levels are very high. You require consulting your doctor for a proper adjustment of your insulin dosages, The doctor may also think of changing the insulin
I notice your weight is on the higher side, hence you may ask your doctor about GPL-1 agonist which will not only help you to control diabetes but would be very helpful in reducing your weight. Unfortunately, these medicines are expensive

The ck levels were 1130 U/L CK MB 1.6 ng/mL CK-MB (RI) 0.1% hs troponin I <2 ng/mL. I am taking rosuvastatin calcium 5 mg alternate days and was running daily for exercise, doctor has advised me to stop the exercise and medicine for 1 month. I want to know did I had heart attack, doctor said no problem related to heart and check again after one month.
