Dear lybrate-user kumar,
I would prefer that first you check again your medicine properly. Sitagliptin is not available in 20 mg. And more over I can see glycomet gp1, glyconorm g1, tetagliptin* (mostly teneligliptin) in your details.
And if you are checking your sugar levels with glucometer at home, then I would suggest you check once from laboratory and repeat hba1c also from good laboratory.

It's cause of concern that your insulin is not acting to neutralize the sugar while you are taking good medicines prescribed by your experience doctor. This is non response of drugs. Sir,
I would like to suggest test like c peptide assay & gad antibody to confirm the type of diabetes. Their is a distant possibility of lada. Insulin is the only option if such is the case. I also would like to know whether you are obese and how diabetes was suspectes and diagnosed initially.

lybrate-user. Upadhyay, Thanks for the query. Ideally glucose levels should be maintained as follows: FBG < 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% <6.8. So the levels mentioned are high. One has to look at diet, exercise and then also towards medicine, whether to upgrade the treatment. Thanks.

The side effects are different for each tablets but not serious to stop tablets as controlling diabetes is the most important aim to avoid umpteen complication of it.
