Isotretinoin makes the skin dry by reducing the sebum (oil on skin, that’s how it works. Your lips also get dry. Local application of acne cream also add to it. Your dermatologist will be able prescribe suitable moisturiser depending upon your skin condition.

The dose of isotretinoin is 1 mg/ kg. The duration of the treatment should be near 6 months continously even if you have no pimples to avoid the relapse. Start with 20 mg twice a day along with topical clindamycin and inform Me after two weeks. Thanks.

It is not just another pill or vitamin that you can take it on your own. It is a drug/ schedule h medicine - that means it has lot of known side effects. Also there is a particular dose of this medicine that you can take in a year. Self medication of this medicine can be harmful. Please keep a record of how much medicine you have taken and discuss pro s and con's with a consultant dermatologist. You can privately consult me if you like.

HI!
Taking isotroin and beta carotene with spirulina is not a bad combination. You can use them .Acne or pimples is an age related skin problem which has ups and downs of the lesions. Depending on the diet which you take, acne will be under your control. Please don't touch your pimples with your hands as it can cause spots and can aggravate pimples also. Reduce oily foods, sweets ,chocolates, non vegetarian foods like red meat, chicken ,eggs, dairy products as these foods can aggravate acne.
