Dear Lybrateuser, TB treatment is a step wise therapy and sometimes some problems like loss of appetite, vomiting, joint pains are seen.
You should have patience and please don't change / switch / alter TB medicines or their doses, as most problems will resolve by themselves
But in case of persisting / non improvement of such problems you can always have a second opinion from a Pulmonologist.
Wishing your Father a speedy recovery.

It is not advisable to stop TB drugs. Consuming alcohol with Anti TB medicine may have some raised risk of liver toxicity, but if their is such a dire need to consume alcohol so as otherwise you may be penalised for not consuming on that specific day and penality is more severe than you health needs that you are afraid to withstand that penality, then one may take alcohol keeping in mind the liver functions tests to rule out liver toxicity.
