Mr. lybrate-user, There is brand by name "Mixtard 30/70 InnoLet 3 ml injection. Usually concerned company persons do visit and explain how to use the Insulin Pens. So while buying it from the local chemist ask him to send the particular company representative to demonstrate the usage. The cartridges are 3 ml while vial is bigger. So please get all the details before switching over. Pens are definitely much easier to use. Thanks.

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. All the brands of 30/70 insulins are invariably having same potency. The level of action is dependent on the units used in every dose. All the insulins marketed by standard pharmaceutical companies have action. If the combination is 30/70 it means 30% fast acting & 70 % long acting insulin combination. There are 40 units per ml as well as 100 units per ml vials are available. That needs to be kept in mind while using the injecti...more

Mr. lybrate-user kumar, thanks for the query.
The mentioned medicines (both) can be taken at the same time. However, since nothing is mentioned about fasting, pp, hba1c%, weight, height, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, lipid profile and bp readings. There no other comment that can be made. Usually insulin should be taken separately and oha should be taken separately. Thanks.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Insulin happens to be the best treatment for diabetes, because diabetes occurs due to its (insulin's) deficiency. Secondly if a person is having T1 Dm then only drug that can be used is Insulin. In T2 DM there are a number of oral drugs available. Since you have neither mentioned your age or type of diabetes, it is difficult to answer your question. My suggestion is please come back with following details: age, type of diabetes, weight, height, fasting & P...more
