Simmyji,First thing is what type of diabetes is having T1 or T2? If it is T1 then only treatment is taking Insulin injections. If T2 then looking at his glucose levels one can think of adjusting the drug treatment. But usually insulin is given for improperly controlled diabetes and also for those who have very high sugar levels or have HBA1c% more than 8 to 9 %.
