You can substitute it with Huminsulin 30/70, Mixtard 30/70, Insugen 30/70, Insuman 30/70 etc. But unlike Novomix 30/70 which should be taken just before meals, for other Insulins which I mentioned, should be taken 30 minutes before meals.

Simmyji,First thing is what type of diabetes is having T1 or T2? If it is T1 then only treatment is taking Insulin injections. If T2 then looking at his glucose levels one can think of adjusting the drug treatment. But usually insulin is given for improperly controlled diabetes and also for those who have very high sugar levels or have HBA1c% more than 8 to 9 %.
