The most important question here is whether your sugar is controlled or not. If your sugar crosses the level of 180 mg/dl then weight gain would not happen. Beyond 180 mg/dl - our kidneys start to excrete sugars in urine. So whatever you eat and digest - ultimately making glucose in the body will get eliminated in your urine. Hence to aim for weight gain - your sugar control below 180 mg/dl is paramount.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen all the details given, you are on multiple drugs and have a well controlled glucose level. That is really good. As regards taking Udiliv for reducing liver enzyme levels, it has really no role in that. There is in fact no specific medicine for this particular action. Regular exercise, avoiding alcohol (if being taken) are the major remedies. There are certain Ayurvedic tablets which do claim of improving liver functions. Which may be tried. Thanks.

Hello, taking right dose of insulin is the best way to control fasting and pp sugar.
Even if after taking insulin, pp sugar goes high, you can try tab. Vobit 0.2mg one after food twice daily to control pp sugar.
Check fasting sugar after seven days to find control.

If you are on insulin it is better to increase the dose of insulin if blood sugar is not controlled. If at all you want to add oral medicine metformin will be a better choice.

Mr. Lybrate-user, it appears the dosage of insulin is not adequate, needs to be uptitrated. This can be done by first targeting fasting sugar level and later pp sugar level. Night time insulin dose can be increased by 2 to 4 units every 3 rd day based on fasting glucose level till target level is achieved, through a system of self monitoring and getting info from your doctor on insulin dose, till a trget level (120 mg fasting) is reached. I do not understand the reason for starting dionil now, b...more
