Hello, I have ulcerative colitis since 2011, was using imuran and ursofalk for 6 years then I stopped them and started using mp6 for 2 years, then I stopped it since 6 months because I can't handle it anymore, I had skin issues and liver hypertrophy and many problems. I was running and had my left foot twisted which resulted a broken metatarsal base v (jones fracture) then I had it in a cast for 7 weeks then started physiotherapy for 2 weeks which was painful, my foot became bigger (tumor) and had very little improvement then, made x-ray found that I had osteoporosis. Q1: should I continue my physiotherapy during osteoporosis which need 2 to 6 months I guess or stop it? Q2: what is the result of stopping the treatment for my ulcerative colitis?

U can stop Physio if u do good exercises at home
And osteoporosis may be due to no use for such long period so start using n that should be ok

I had done asma test & it was found (1+),after that my doctor (gastroenterology & hepatology) suggested me to take omnacortil40 & azoran50 for 10 days and told me to give sgpt & sgot results before the medicines were over, but before him, I was treated by another doctor (rheumatology & immunologist) he told me that (+1 asma) it may be and may not be autoimmune hepatitis type-1, then he suggested me these medicines - 1.hcq-300 2.urscol 3.razo and told me to continue these medicines and said me not to take - 1.omnacortil 2.azoran after 10 days, I did my sgpt & sgot test, it was found normal, but total bilirubin was found -1.4 and direct bilirubin was found -0.5. Sir please tell me what to do next?

I have my treatment for vitiligo going on since 16 dec 2021, i'm on betamethasone 7 mg sat-sun. N azoran 100 mg everyday. Recently i've notice testicular pain at night and also a few abdomen pains at intervals. Im just worried due to these immunosuppressant tabs wil I be able to be a father in future? I'm 24 and virgin. Have my life ahead, I want to treat my vitiligo but i'm also equally worried does azoran n betamethasone cause impotence or what side effects it has ,that I should be aware and worried about. Please help.

Azoran or pulse dose of betamethasone won't cause impotence or make you sterile. But please go to a doctor n get your testicular pain checked. It might be totally unrelated.

My pregnancy test got positive. My first scanning was on 28th june, that time it shows the foods is about 4 weeks and 5 days. The second was scheduled on 12th july. That time I found out that the foods is not growing, only 5 weeks 1 day. The doctor suggested that I get an abortion. I requested the doctor to scan again. So she suggested that I do it on the 17th of july. My last period was on 19th may. This is my first baby and I am 31 now. Is there any hope? And also I am under medication for the last 10 years for polymiositisis- inflammatory myopathy. I am taking 2.5 mg wysolone alternate days and azoran 50 mg daily. But now as per the gums suggestion I stopped taking azoran. Is the baby not growing due to my illness? Am I capable of having a baby? Kindly reply on this matter.

This happens to many pregnant women without any pre-existing medical conditions. Don't lose hope. This may not be a good one. But next time definitely you would have better chances of conceiving a healthy pregnancy.

Your condition does increase chances of miscarriage and slowed growth. That doesn't mean that you are not capable of pregnancy. Follow your doctor's advice diligently.

I'm suffering from ulcerative colitis. I was diagnosed in 2011 Nov. After doing colonoscopy my doctor told that it has affected my whole colon and suggested me methylprednisolone from 36 mg and decreasing it 4 mg every 5 days and stop it. And I used Azathioprine and mesacol for 4 years. After I started using these medicines I started feeling normal but used to have inflammation sometimes and with using ornidazole for 3 days I used to become normal. In Nov 2015 after doing colonoscopy again my doctor confirmed that it has cured very well and asked me to stop using Azathioprine and continue using mesacol. Now almost after 1 and half year again y symptoms for Ulcerative colitis came back and I had to consult doctor and again after doing sigmoidoscopy it is confirmed that ulcer has started again in my colon. Again I was suggested to methylprednisolone and Azathioprine. Currently I'm under medication. Now with my experience I figured out that over masturbation has caused ulcerative colitis to me. Actual in when I was 12 or 13 I got to know something that happened in my family and it disturbed me a lot and got me into masturbation and now it is causing so many health issues for me. As mentioned earlier I used to have increased inflammation sometimes under medication too, that used to happen when ever I had done masturbation. So, I have decided I won't do it again and by end of 2015 everything was fine it got cured well. Now recently in Feb 2017 I had masturbated twice and my ulcerative colitis came back. Until then I was fine without any problem. Now my question is only masturbating twice has got me again into worse ulcerative colitis, if I have sex then will it worsen my condition? I'm 24 and my parents are started searching matches for me and I'm very confused about what to do. If having sex increases ulcerative colitis then I don't want to get into it as this may lead to colon cancer and surgery all those things. I don't want to risk my health and life. Also my ovaries functioning has decreased. I think the reason for that is also excessive masturbation. Please suggest me something on this.

There is no connection between masturbation and ulcerative colitis. Ulcerative colitis is a life long disease which has relapsing remitting course. Stop worrying about masturbation. It has no connection with ulcerative colitis.

Hi I am having (ild) fibrotic nature. Taking medrol. 8mg, nacfil 600, azoran50 besides sugar medicine and blood thinner(clock as 75). My ild treatment started in september 2013. 1 what is fatality impact due to this disease. 2 is it curable or remission is possible or not. 3 how long medicine to continue.

Now in ipf/fibrotic, nacfil is not of much use. Prefinax 1800mg in devided doses is prefered drug now. Medicine life long. Not curable. No remission if ipf.

Health Query

Wish to know which treatment shall be better for pemphigus vulgaris. Ayurved, allopathy or homeopathy. Worried becoz currently taking allopathy in which betnesol forte (steroids) n azoran being given which I fear shall effect my liver n kidney in long run. Very confused as dunno if ayurved n homeopathy has treatment fr this. If any advice pls as want to negate any side effects in long run Thanks in advance.

My mother is suffering from hiatus hernia. She regurgitate everything she eats after completing her meal. She is consuming levosulpiride medicine to increase her gut movement but still all these medicines seems ineffective. Actually she is also suffering from sarcoidosis from past 10 years and consuming azoran, omnacortil,derifyline but her health starts deteriorating from past 1 month v don't understand what to do. Hiatus hernia has very good response with surgery and relief from symptoms is quick. Surgery can be done laparoscopically with small holes.
But get her assessed first if she is fit to undergo surgery as you say she has othet assocated problems.
Otherwise medication as is going and some lifestyle change is the only solutuon, eg head end up when lying down by 30 deg, not bending forward. Regds.
