Dear mam, cervical cancer vaccine is against two strains of hpv viruses responsible for maximum number of cervical cancers ie. Hpv type 16 and 18. It is not a hormonal preparation and there is absolutely no risk of infertility. How ever as any drug has some side effects it may cause local area of inflammation where the shot given, nausea, joint pain or flu like symptoms and they are usually self limiting and do not pose any serious problem.
