Hi lybrate-user,
it would be better if you use any plain talcum powder than a medicated one. Most patients with friction problem won't have any fungal issues so a medicated powder is not advised as if you later, god forbid, need any antifungal treatment, then they won't work.
Best wishes.

However this doesn't need any further treatment, but to avoid unnecessary risk, you can go for Tetanus injection, so as to avoid infection. There are very very rare chances of catching rabies or rat bite fever, after a rat bite. So initially i will advice only for Tetanus injection.

Neomycin is an antibiotic which stops the growth of bacteria while clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi on the skin. Together, they treat your skin infection effectively.

no I s a dermatophyte, a type of fungal infection of the groin region in either sex, though more often seen in males.
The fungicidal allylamines (naftifine and terbinafine) and butenafine (allylamine derivative) are a more costly group of topical tinea treatments, yet they are more convenient as they allow for a shorter duration of treatment compared with fungistatic azoles (clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole, oxiconazole.
