Cosmolite cream contains hydroquinone and topical steroid which is not advisable to use without consultation or used for a very long time. It thins out the skin apart from causing other various side effects. For now stop using it completely. Use a mild facial cleanser and moisturise your skin well. Use sunscreen in the morning and afternoon. Protect your face from direct sunlight. Further treatment would require a photographic consultation.

Hii dear...This cream is a combination of hydroquinone, tretinoin, and steroid. It is a skin lightening medication used for hyperpigmentation, it has lot of side effects when used on normal skin. Long term use of steroids can cause infections, acneiform eruption, atrophy, etc. Long term use of hydroquinone can cause exogenous ochronosis. Kindly avoid such creams for skin lightening. It must only be used for hyperpigmentation when indicated.

Hi Divya
Trevinoin and hydroquinone are dangerous in pregnancy and should never be taken. You should tell your skin doctor when starting treatment, about planning pregnancy. That’s assuming it was prescribed by skin doctor and not over the counter. You need to decide the priority. If acne needs priority correction, use the medicine but also use contraception to avoid pregnancy. If pregnancy is priority, ignore the acne, for now. You can treat it later.

Hello, Hydroquine is a stronger depigmenting agent and can be used for short duration without any risks. Better to take a break of few weeks if using for more than three months. If you expect results in 2 months then Hydroquinone is best option rest take longer duration. Also strict usage of sunscreen three times a day is must during the treatment.

Hi! melacare is triple combination cream containing hydroquinone, steroid and treinoin. Please don't use melacare in these areas as as it can cause profound side effects on usage especially in sensitive areas of the body. Mean while, use a good moisturising cream to affected part of the body to prevent dryness. Please consult online or have direct consultation with your local dermatologist for best advice and treatment.

Hello, The above creams contain hydroquinone and steroid which work well for short time but should not be used for long term. You can use creams which contain kojic acid, vit c, niacinamide like Melaglow. But the most important is to constantly use sunscreen during and after treatment to maintain the results.
