diabetes medication shouldnot be switched suddenly without complete details and history. Even if switched to alternative, the patient needs to be closely monitored. I think you are suffering from type 1 diabetes which is insulin dependent and you have to take it life long, there is no alternative.

U100 and u40 is different. If you will commit mistake in that than there can be dangerous outcome.And your sugar will go haywire. And also both insulin is different. Ask your diabetologist about it.
