I have seen the details mentioned. All the brands of 30/70 insulins are invariably having same potency. The level of action is dependent on the units used in every dose. All the insulins marketed by standard pharmaceutical companies have action. If the combination is 30/70 it means 30% fast acting & 70 % long acting insulin combination. You can substitute it with Huminsulin 30/70, Mixtard 30/70, Insugen 30/70, Insuman 30/70 etc. But unlike Novomix 30/70 which should be taken just before meals, for other Insulins which I mentioned, should be taken 30 minutes before meals.

I am sure you are aaware that for vials containing 40 units / ml insulin you have to use a syringe which depicts 40 u/ml on it. Similarly for 100 units /ml vial, there is a separate syringe showing 100 units/ml on it. So when use these specific syringes, it easier to take specific dosage based on the marks on the syringe.
