Administer pneumococcal conjugate vaccine intramuscularly. The preferred site for infants and young children is the vastus lateralis muscle in the anterolateral thigh. It is better to take typhoid vaccine at any age after six months of age. For children bellow two years of age (tcv) polysaccharide conjugate vaccine should be used. After two years routine vi surface polysaccharide vaccine can be given every three years. Need for booster dose of tcv conjugate vaccine is not yet studied.
