Hi lybrate-user,
if you are looking for changing tone of entire body completly it is highly improbable. Though slight improvement can be achieved by oral supplements. If you want to lighten a specific body area, there are many ways for it. For skin darkening, many treatment modes are available. There are creams to be applied locally, which I can prescribe to you. Treatments like peels, dermarollers and prp available and provide lasting effects. I would be happy to help you. Please consult me...more

Hello, Skin pigmentation is very common is people on clofazamine. The half life of clofazamine is 70 days. So it may take anywhere between 3-6 month for the pigmentation to reduce. During this time you have to use sunscreen, there are some depigmenting creams which may also help. Consult a certified dermatologist.

Skin discolouration is a known side effect of clofazimine. Treating MDRTB is more important than skin colour. Hence continue.

Hello, Clofazamine does produce pigmentation as a side effect due to deposition of the drug. It has a half life of 70 days. So majority of them the pigmentation is reversed on discontinuing the treatment. You can protect your skin with sunscreen now and wait for 3 months after the treatment stopped for it to reverse. If it persist there are creams and lasers available to reduce the skin tone.
