Hello, Thanks for the query.
It is difficult give a clear answer whether a SGLT - 2 Inhibitor can be added to existing therapy withput knowing full details of the case. I need to know the following: Fasting, PP glucose levels, HbA1c%, weight, height, serum creatinine & urea levels, eGFR and whethe there is microalbuminura. If kidney function is compromised or eGFR is low, then certain drugs can not be sude including metformin and SGLT-2 Inhibitors. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
When one takes adequate dosage of drugs, plus follows a strictly controlled diet and does regular exercise, blood glucose does get controlled. Therefore, it appears your present treatment is not proper. Hello you need to take proper diet, exercise along with medicines to control sugar levels. May be insulin dosage need to increase. I suggest you to take homeopathic treatment along with above medicines to control sugar levels instead of increasing insulin unit. You can consult me online for homeopathic treatment and guidance.

Mr. Lybrate-user kumar, the present treatment looks quite good. Fasting and pp levels are a bit high, but those can be managed by following a more strict diet and exercise schedule. I feel there is no further need to add any drugs. Her bmi is 27.55 kg/ m2, which shows she is overweight. Her ideal body weight should be 59 kgs. So all her food intake (calories) should be calculated considering that weight and extent of daily physical exercise and blood sugar levels. Even if she reduces 5 to 7 kgs,...more
