Dear lybrate-user,
the medication you are taking for diabetes are standard medication and if your sugar is controlled with it you should continue with it. For peripheral neuropathy good control is the best approach. For sexual problen best to consult a andorogynist. I will not be able to any suggest unani medicine.

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the query. You have mentioned about having diabetes as well as depression. But there is no information on blood glucose, (fasting & pp), hba1c%, lipid profile, dosage of medications being taken, dietary details and extent of daily exercise. With out having all the necessary information, there is no way to advise. Problems with sexual performance are quite often seen as a complication of diabetes, particularly if blood glucose is not well controlled.more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I get a feeling that I have answered this query yesterday. Both fasting and PP glucose levels are high. There is a need to upgrade the overall treatment.
Following are my observations : 1) Weight is too high with a BMI of 34.04 kgs she is close to grade 2 obesity. This is a major hindrance for better glucose control.
2) There is a need to look at the dietary pattern, extent of daily physical activity and lipid profile details, serum creatinine and urea...more

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Ciplox is an anti-bacterial agent, used to treat various bacterial infections. It has got no role in diabetes treatment. With a HbA1c% of 9.7 you have an uncontrolled diabetes. This needs appropriate drug treatment plus diet control and regular exercise. Looking at your height an weight the ideal body weight should be about 65 kgs. So there is a need to reduce that. Please come back with correct information, then I will be able to give proper guidane. ...more

lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
For a person with diabetes it is very important to keep the blood glucose in strict control, otherwise, the long term complications associated with diabetes affecting eyes (retina), kidneys, lower limbs, peripheral nerves and heart can occur more rapidly. Ideally fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, PP 160 to 70 mg & HbA1c% <7.

Yes 230 ppbs is high.
Get your hba1c done. You can either add metformin or gliptins to take care of you post prandial high sugars. Erectile dysfunction can be due to several causes like nervous, psychological, atherosclerotic related which needs to evaluated via counselling, doppler and medication. First get your sugar under control.

Mr. Lybrate-user, if one has well controlled diabetes then fasting sugar should be closer to 100mg and pp should be 150 to 160 mg/100 ml and hba1c% <7. If you have maintained these readings consistently then diabetes is in control. With that one is able to prevent or postpone the long term complications of diabetes, which are very serious. You have not given all the details to give any suggestions. Plus there is no mention about fasting, pp sugar levels, hba1c%, dietary pattern and extent of dai...more

Hello, Vivek, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. From that it is clear that she is on multiple medications. However, there is no mention of herHbA1c%, weight, extent of physical activity, particularly exercises like brisk walking or any other activity plus dietary pattern . It is very essential to concentrate on following aspects - 1) weight control (BMI <23 kgs/Sq meter), 2) Taking a healthy balanced diet like - increased intake of green leafy vegetables, salads and certai...more
