If you are not having any side effects like hypoglycemia, you should continue with the same treatment. Because if you reduce the dose, the chances are that blood sugar will creep up again. Also your triglyceride is high so, you should make life style modifications (low calorie diet & exercise) to bring it down.

Taking medicines is not enough. Is your diabetes (blood sugar) in control? what is your hba1c level? localized itching is often caused by uncontrolled diabetes. Mr. lybrate-user, You are having a seriously uncontrolled diabetes, which can lead to very bad consequences related to multiple vital organs and systems. There is need for urgent upgradation of present treatment. Ideally fasting glucose should be closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c%<6.8. Plus your BP is also high. If are really willing to get properly treated please come in a private conversation, where I will be able to help. This is urgent looking at your glucose levels. Thanks.

Hello, thanks for the query. The. Glucose levels & hba1c% show you have excellent control. I could not get any clear information what medications you are taking. Glycinorm is metformin but no strength is mentioned. The tablet name or ingredient is not clear. So please come back with specific details plus your height & weight as well as day physical activity. Then I will be able to guide. Thanks.
