It's OK. Both are of different OHA with different actions. Glycomet is Metformin which is biguinides n reduces hepatic glucose production while Tenepride is Tenligliptin belongs to a group of medicines called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors. It works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas, which helps lower the blood glucose levels in the body.

sir its good that her blood sugar is fairly controlled....numbness in feet may be due to diabetic neuropathy which is a common complication of type2 diabetes..but get her thyroid function test done and vit b12 levels...as metformin causes vit b12 deficiency dat may be another cause of numbness in diabetics...good luck

Addition of metformin will restrict your insulin dose.You can stop glimipride in glycomet Gp 3/850 instead you can use glycomet 1000mg twice a day.You can stop jalra also because it is effective in early years of disease.

As told by your endocrinologist pioglitazone does help insulin action by reducing resistance to its action. The combination has been banned because it is considered as irrational to have certain "fixed dose" combinations. Because it is difficult to make dosage adjustment in asuch a combination. However, using those separately is absolutely fine. Plus if you have been getting good glucose control with those drugs, then please do use separately. At the d...more
