Please let me know her hba1c level and is she taking any thing else for diabetes other than glucobay? because only glucobay does not control sugar level. Diabetes may occur even without any evident symptoms. Medications may be enough to control sugars of PP2BS. Please consult your doctor as he may prescribe you Acarbose or voglibose which mainly controls PP sugars. Need of insulin depends on your status of Retina and kidney. Kindly get a thorough check up.
