You can add galvus to your current medicines instead of switching if your liver n kidney function test are normal and if you never had pancreatitis. Monitor your sugar levels every week to 10 days to see response.

Hi, Sorry to learn that you blood sugar levels are not well controlled You require to visit your physician for additional medication to control your blood sugar levels. Doctors will probably add gliptins that will control blood sugar levels without causing hypoglycemia.

Firstly, You need to know that medrol is a steroid and steroids are medicines with lots of side-effects. I am sure that your doctor would have started your mother on steroids because her asthmatic condition would have endangered her life and he would have been left with no choice but to start steroids. Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Your glucose control seems to be fairly good. Ideally HbA1c% should be <7%, but 7.4 is also not bad. There appears to be no need to change any medication. However, looking at your weight and height, it is clear that you are over weight, because at your age ideal body weight should be < 63 kgs. So if possible a bit of additional physical activity and better diet control should be practiced. Thanks.

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. Hba1c% of 6.9 % is showing a good control. So the present treatment needs to be continued. If you have any questions please come back with following information: current dosage of all the medications, weight, height, age, extent of daily exercise, dietary pattern and lipid profile as well as bp readings then I will be bale to guide. Thanks.
