From your statement it looks like you have diabetes as well as hypertension. The creatinine value is little high. Don't know what for ivabrad is given. Though your three months average is good, fasting and pp sugar is high. You need few more tests to asses your kidney function and cardiac function. Then you may need a change of certain medicines.

At present Your blood glucose levels doesn't reveal any problem. Hope you are safe now. Still you need to investigate your BGL frequently. I think you must have taken some steps like exercises/walking/ yog and diet restrictions. Or high BGL at that time might be because of high stress. Now it's stable. You don't need any treatment as it should not go below the level too.

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. With your current weight your bmi is 26.15 kg/sq meter (normal < 23 kg/sq meter), which means there is an excess of almost 7 kgs. However, your blood glucose is very well controlled, which really good. Weight reduction is a tough task. However, you may consider increasing the time spent on exercises. You can do strength building exercise for 2 to 3 days (preferably in a gym) and other days 5 plus k walk. Running ad brisk walking...more

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
I have gone through the details given and notice that you do have multiple issues. In addition your BMI is 29 kgs/Sq Meter, which is very close to grade 1 obesity. This itself is a major contributor for improper control of diabetes and high BP. Plus it is possible that due uncontrolled hypothyroidism there is excess weight gain. Your ideal weight should be around 59 kgs, as against that you are now 79 kgs (20 kgs excess).

Type 2 diabetes is a chronic progressive disease characterized by resistance to insulin and gradual loss of beta cells which produce insulin. When you lose half of the beta cells your blood will show glucose above normal levels. In the initial stages diet which focuses on decreased insulin secretion (low carb diet), weight loss and excercise which helps to decrease resistance to insulin will help to decrease the glucose load on the pancreas in turn. What is lost is lost and it is hard to bring b...more
