The best way to take is with meals. That is take tablet I between meals, voglibose works better during meals.

I have seen the details given. Usually metformin is very well tolerated. Often seen side effect include gastrointestinal disturbances, which reduce on taking the drug after food. Pain in knee joints is unusual. However, since you have that, one may have to some other options which could include sglt - 2 inhibitors along with insulin. Equally important is to look at your dietary pattern and extent of physical activity. Thanks.
