lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
From the given glucose levels, it is clear that present treatment is not adequate. Ideally FBG should be <100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c%<6.8, for very good control.
So there has to be some addition to present treatment. Plus a re-look has to be given to your dietary pattern and amount if exercise being done. Thanks.

Your fbs is quite normal. The slightly high ppbs could be because of various reasons. Some of the common ones are:
1) the food you eat; both quality & quantity matter
2) over how much time you have it
3) what you have along with it
4) exercise
5) time of taking meds
try to find out which of these matter to you & the solution becomes easier.

Hi, to control sugars neither it is required to eat very less nor it is advisable. You should have your meals properly. The thing which is required is to practice healthy eating habits. Though diabetes can not be cured still sugar levels can be managed well if you follow proper diet, do regular physical activity and take medications if prescribed by your doctor. Apart from these monitoring your sugars regularly is also very important as it give you a fair idea of your present situation.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Both glucose levels are high, suggesting present treatment is not adequate. Premeal means is it fasting level or just before the meal? Ideally fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. Thanks.
