Hi, I am on the medication of hepatitis b and now suffering with high bp, my Dr. recommended me metxl25, but I read hear that a person liver disease should avoid this medicine. I am feeling burning eyes after taking this. Should I stop metxl 25?

I am now 25 my weight 75 kg. Last 5 year ago diagnosed my left kidney is 85% inactive bt right is fully active with moderate hydronephrosis. My creatinine level between 0.9-1.2 mg.in last 5 years. I check up my blood in every 3 month. No protein in urine. I take losartan 50 and tomsolvin chloride (dynapres. O.4 mg. Daily. According to my Nephrologist. Bt my bp is always up and down. When I check it in morning it 130 by 84 bt in night 140 by 80. It is interesting that when I check my bp I worried about my bp heart beat become too fast 120/min. Even it check home or doctor clinic. I worried. Normal time heart beat is 80 about. My question is my bp is safe for my heart and right kidney? It can create problem heart and kidney? In future for this condition. Suggest how can reduce my bp. I am much worried about my bp .(my urine bladder is neugenic. Post void urine is 50 ml right now on ultrasound report.).

Hi, My father is suffering from systolic hypertension. He is diagnosed 3 years back. The hypertension history is first he was given with amlodipine+valsartan 5/80 mg (exforge) before sleep when he take that medicine his systolic blood pressure become normal but diastolic decreases to 50 or less then the medication was changed and he started with amlodipine 5 mg (Norvasc) before sleep but the problem remains same then the physician changed it from 5 mg to Amlodipine 2.5 mg (Lodopin) before sleep but the problem remain same and there was no success. We were referred to cardiologist who after taking the echo and ecg said that he is having no cardiac issues and suggested losartan 50 mg (eziday) before sleep. Now with this medication the issue is that his diastolic comes to normal if he takes medicine but systolic is going high up to 175 - 185 then he changes it to valsartan 80 mg (diovan) before sleep but the problem remain same with this medicine but the slight change that appears is his blood pressure remains normal till mid day and after mid day it starts going up and till night it again reaches to 165-175. I want to ask is there any solution for the above case. Your response will be much appreciated.

Go back to amlodipine. Keep systolic BP less than 150. Ignore diastolic BP. Measure his BP only once every two weeks on fixed dates after resting for ten minutes. Completely avoid measuring at any other time.

please check with your doctor about medicines being toxic to kidneys. ACE inhibitors group you are taking
under supervision of doctors, get blood pressure controlled by safer medicines like betablockers

Losartan 25 x 2 is very similar to 50
ecospirin AV has two medicines, and side effects are possible. Plus 4-5 heart failure medicines. Check why these two are needed, or discuss case on phone. Best wishes.

Hi Doctor, My age is 30 years. I was diagnosed with High Blood Pressure which used to be in range of 140-150/90-100 many a times. Based on the recommendations of Dr. I started with Telma-40 tablet, but my BP could not be controlled. He asked me to change the tablet to Trilosar 6.25, took observations for few weeks, then he recommended to go with Trilosar 12.5 Mg Tablet. I am taking this tablet from past 1-1.5 years on daily basis (1 in morning). After that, I have not visited any Doctor as I relocated to Delhi and never faced any issue related to health. I wanted to consult you on this tablet. Is this medicine safe for life long consumption or should I try something else (like reducing some salt as this tablet contains 3 salts).
