My daughter is 3.5 years old. Today she had loose motion and after that she got the fever 102, we given her Nobel-Plus 5 ml as suggested by doctor. After half an hour she stated shivering (body was shaking eyes were up side) and wasn't able to say anything, we noticed see has 103 degree of fever, we suddenly put a cold water cloth her head and with in 1 minutes she became normal (fiver wad still there but the shaking condition ended. After that we visited to a new doctor who increased the dose of Nobel-Plus 5 ml to 7.5 ml and added Econorm pouch 2 in a day and one antibiotics and added one more medicine Frisium 5 twice in a day so wanted to confirm two things - 1. The condition she had at the time of 103 fiver wad normal and due to fiver or any thing else. (we got EEG and CT Scan done which was normal). 2. What is use of Frisium 5 tablets and how it will effect on her. Thanks a lot for your suggestion!@

frisium is a drug for seizures
your child might have had either shivering or seizures which can be possible in such high grade fever even without any structural cause in the brain.

Hi doctors, some time suddenly I feels so unpleasant discomfort, which I cannot explain exactly in words but feels discomfort internal at that time what I feels mainly a something strange sensation discomfort at head (brain) and and heart. Suddenly discomfort start and I feels im going to losing control from myself and start feels electric shock sensation and that spread head to heart and I feels my heart is going to over beat and feels electric shock sensation and heavy in heart and spread to whole body, I feels like i'm going to be unconscious soon and my body will paralysis. Because of these type of fearful discomfort I feels something will happen to me and my body stopped works normally and feels shaking and comes so much sweat. At that time I feels totally confusion and dizziness and cannot talk properly. My vision becomes so strange, this discomfort remain for 5 minute and later I start to feel better. Now i'm currently taking seizure medicine clobazam 2.5 mg -5 mg and lacosamide 100 mg -150 mg morning /night. Some time ago I had decreased 2.5 mg clobazam and after week I started to feel so much weakness and unable to do anything daily activities and again started to take 2.5 mg, after stopped clobazam 2.5 mg I had been feeling so much discomfort and weakness dizziness. Do not know what is happen to me me time. Whatever I have explained above I have felt 3 time since last year to now.(note:- and 2 year ago same matching difficulty I used felt when I used to take anxiety medicines like sertraline, paroxetine but nowadays I don't take at that time anxiety was misdiagnose by doctor and quit medicine.)

She was possessed at the time when devil used to appear she uses to yell loudly. We took her to religious scholar she was recovering but suddenly she is like jerking her body and starts vibrating her legs and arms. We took her to psychiatrists but of no use. Before we also took her to neurologists all tests were good. I think doctors are not able to diagnose she is all in since when she is ok suddenly she start vibrating and saliva comes out of her mouth. psychiatrist prescribed Encorate chrono 200 ,clobazam 20, Astawin 20 but she felt worse after taking them. Hi Sir, I am suffering from psychosis tobacco addiction hypertension irregular tachycardia and chest pain and severe headache my age is 20 Medication 1.olanzapine 5 mg 1 night (permanent) 2.bupropion 150 xl 1 morning (not permanent) 3.clobazam 5 mg 2 morning and night (not permanent) 4.propranolol 40 mg 1 morning (permanent) 5.telmisartan 20 mg 1 morning (permanent) And due to severe headache today only I take aspirin 75 mg morning not advised by doctor And what can I do for my headache and still I have moderate chest pain Cardiologist advise me to take echo and thyroid still not yet done sir please reply me for my headache and overall health.

I am 32 years old male due to certain job related issues I had severe anxiety and depression about 1 month back. I also lost my appetite and wasn't not able to sleep properly. I consulted a psychiatrist and was prescribed to take clobazam 5 mg twice daily and Ecilitalopram 20 mg once daily before bedtime. I am feeling much better now but my appetite and sleeping issue still seems to persists without any improvements. I also have a history of anxiety and stress related issues before. My current psychiatrist just gave some sleeping pills and vitamins to improve my appetite for my problem which doesn't seem to work at all. Can anyone please help me out my lost of appetite and sleeping problem is wreaking a havoc in my daily life and has now now become a sore of my anxiety and depression relapsing.

Dear Kamster,
Please continue Clobazam and Escitalopram for few more weeks along with vitamins. It takes few weeks to improve your appetite and sleep. Sometime the doctor may increase the dose of escitalopram or shift to another sedating antidepressant.

I am taking aripiprazole, fluvoxamine maleate extended and clobazam for ocd for the past 2 days at night prescribed by doctor. After taking it the first day night, from next day morning I started feeling sleepy, tired and also have diarrhoea two times a day and chills. Is this sleepiness and tiredness because of the tablets? And also I slept late at night at 12: 00 on that day when I took the tablets. So does the tablets cause sleepiness and tiredness because I slept late? And it's been 3 days and I am feeling the same sleepiness and tiredness. What should I do?

Hello, clobazam is never taken for a long period. Sleepiness is due to clobazam mostly. Try tapering off clobazam. For initial 7 days take half the dose then for next 7 days one fourth of the dose then stop clobazam.

Asked for Male, 2 years old from Chennai

Yesterday my son showed fever and I gave him p120 5 ml at around 1130 in the morning. By 2 pm he seemed ok. Suddenly by 3 pm he was sleeping along my side and started to jerk his arms and legs and I tried waking him up. He was feeling very drowsy. Rushed him to er. They gave him suppository. Doc advised frisium 1/2 tab. Reached home by 4 pm. Again around 5 while holding him I was walking he again jerked his legs. Gave him frisium 5 mg and after a while he was ok. Gave him one idli to eat and from then on he was kind of ok. Later on he complained of stomach pain and passed loose stools. Since then every time he passes loose motion he complains of stomach pain. My questions 1) does severe stomach upset cause fever 2) my older son at his 1.5 years age got febrile seizure. So is it possible even my younger one has the tendency? Both 3) although his eyes did not role up. He did show jerky movements and went drowsy and I had to pat him hard to not sleep. 4) pls advice on how to take care further.

Fever is not a disease. it is our body's immune reponse to any upset or infection.
So fever can come with anything..
Treat the cause..
yes the jerking leg can be partial seizures...
Take proper stool examination... it can be worm infestation also.

My baby got seizure when she was 5 days old due to low blood sugar this is coz of poor feeding, CSF investigation is normal, brain scan is normal, other blood tests is also normal. Again she got fits at the month of 10th due to fever, doc has asked to give her frisium tab with P250, MRI and EEG is also normal, then also she is taking the medicine when all she gets fever. I'm much worried about the medicine would become over dose and affect her internal organs. Plz give me your advice.
