Hello
you may be aware that ocd can be a chronic condition which can be more prominent during stressful periods. Ocd can be effectively managed by a combination of medication and psychological therapy like cbt. You have been on prodep (fluoxetine) for few years with certain degree of benefit. Have you ever had cbt? Cognitive behavioural therapy (cbt) will be beneficial to control ocd symptoms. Kindly check with your doctor about availability of cbt in your city.

Flunil (fluoxetine) is a good medicine for treatment of OCD. Usual dosage for OCD is 40-80 mg/day. Some people have gastric irritation with it, and the upper abdominal pain may be because of it. Such pain usually is relieved by taking Antacids. There are some other medications available for OCD which may not cause gastric irritation. You should discuss this with your Psychiatrist who will guide you further.

Dear lybrate-user,
the change in medicine often makes you uncomfortable for short duration. Gradually anxiety goes away afer 3-4 days. You can wait for few days till you feel better. Doctor might have changed medicine considering some points of your symptoms. I would not be able to solve your problem until I know all your problem in detail. If you have intolerable problem you can either consult me or other psychiatrist.
Else you can talk to your own psychiatrist for such complaints.

As per your weight in my opinion your zaptra dose needs to be optimised, kindly call your treating doctor for further advice.
And zapiz is unlikely to make you feel sad. Your baseline problem of anxiety once corrected with proper drug dosages you will feel better. Do not loose your heart you will be fine.

Hello. I would advise you to inform your physician beforehand that you are taking fluoxetine so that he can prescribe any other medicine, accordingly. Thanks.

Flu nil (Fluoxetine) takes at least 4 weeks for it to initiate its action, what you are experiencing is some side effects which are not life threatening, I advise you to continue and see your doctor and ask him to prescribe which gives quick relief before Flunil takes its action. All the best.

Prodep 10 MG Capsule can make you feel drowsy or dizzy. It is advised not to drive or do any other activity that requires your complete concentration. In case you are an elderly patient, be careful when you are getting up from a sitting or sleeping position to avoid a sudden fall. Also, you must avoid alcohol while you are under this medication.
