enlarged prostate causes the bladder muscles to work harder to push urine out. Over a long period of time, this leads to thickened bladder wall and overactivity of bladder muscle. You can get fresh evaluation of his uroflowmetry and usg kub with pvr, with serum psa. If he is voiding well with urimax d, he may omit the "d" (dutasteride) part of the medication, and only continue with urimax, it is relatively safe. His urine voiding problem might return if he stops using urimax.
