Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi.
My opinion to you will be to consult with a general physician as you do not seem to be having an orthopaedic issue. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You can also discuss your case and treatment plans with me in a greater detail in a private consultation.

Hi, you are suffering from GERD. it is difficult for anyone to take antacids for long term so I would suggest you to switch over to homeopathic treatment which is mild and gentle and have no side effects. besides this pls follow certain precautions :
@ avoid going to sleep before 2 hrs of dinner
@ avoid chocolates, peppermint, fried foods, food items made from Maida
@ drink at least 7-8 cases of water a day

Rantac or famocid may not help, you should visit a gastroenterologist near you who may do an endoscopy (it takes 3-4 minutes to undergo one) He/she would prescribe appropriate medicines. The course may last 2-3 months etc and you'll feel better. Do not get scared it's a common problem with a solution.
