you need to discuss with your psychiatrist to further optimize your classic anti-anxiety or antidepressant drugs (escitalopram dose can be further build up to 20 mg per day and if needed another medicine can be added to augment effect of escitalopram) before tapering off and stopping etizolam. Although antianxiety medications like etizzolam can be taken. But they have a propensity to cause dependence and more so ever are not the first line treatment for anxiety. It would be better to consult a psychiatrist and start an antidepressant and or psychotherapy so that antianxiety medications are not needed on a regular basis.
