I'm on medication currently for anxiety and depression i'm taking etilaam 0.25 and depranex-10 along with richer cr for iron deficiency. I want to know that someday i'm fully ok and sometimes I don't know why I feel anxious like if I go outside after taking etilaam then a falling or sinking type of sensation happens suddenly and after the medication gets completely mixed into my bloodstream I start to feel calm. Couldn't getting it thoroughly why is it happening so also because my whole body blood report tests are also totally normal beside iron and vitamin d deficiency. I've also spoke to my psychiatrist about this she told me to relax .and also advised to cut down slowly my etilaam pills by reducing 25% after 10 days. But then also this sudden bad feeling bothers me .is it normal doctors and how long it'd take me to get fully recovered from it.

Hi lybrate-user,
you need to discuss with your psychiatrist to further optimize your classic anti-anxiety or antidepressant drugs (escitalopram dose can be further build up to 20 mg per day and if needed another medicine can be added to augment effect of escitalopram) before tapering off and stopping etizolam. It's happening because your anxiety and depression is not yet completely remitted. Whole body blood reports have to be normal before calling it anxiety disorder. Vitamin d has to be ta...more

You seem to be doing a lot of search on google and I wish to make you understand that the information in google is not for non-medical people to diagnose or treat instead of a trained doctor who knows in detail about the diseases and has the experience of treating many patients. The google information is on and must be used as a piece of guiding information and not as a replacement of doctors.

It is common to feel attracted to the opposite sex when you have weak mind.
Better change the therapist before it becomes irreversible.

Hi,
both the medications are for curbing depression and recurrent thoughts. You need to take help from a psychologist on behaviour therapy and relaxation training which is customized for your needs. A positive frame of mind will definitely support your treatment.
Be hopeful, you will be alright. Regarding the strange sensation in the brain, please check with your psychiatrist.

it is per day dosage, so you can take it at any time and these medications act on the neurotransmitters in the brain over a period of time and not immediately. Immediate action might be some sedation, but the benefits are seen over a period of time. So no harm taking with 1-2 hour difference. All the best.

We as psychotherapists don't recommend any medication.
You seem to be overly anxious and need to work on your stress levels.
For your psychological issues, please contact a psychotherapist or counsellor in your area and seek immediate help. You may also need to take psychiatric drugs for sometime, for which you would need to consult a qualified psychiatrist.
Also start engaging in your hobbies and some form of yoga and relaxation for better results.

You have not given what you are being treated for.
From the medicines prescribed you could be suffering from depressive disorder or anxiety disorder or both together.
If that is so, your doctor may want you to continue taking it even beyond the time of recovery at least for 6 months. That could be a total of 9 months or an year of treatment.
However if you have a type of depression that recurs frequently and if the illness responds to the medication your doctor may want you continue...more

Hello friend, good that you are seeking a help here. Please be aware that medicines are just one part of treatment for depression or anxiety. Even after taking the medicine for 15 long years, your symptoms have not reduced. So it's important to focus and take treatment for the root cause instead of treating just symptoms.
Take a professional counselling or psychologist help to openly discuss about your thoughts and emotions which could be the root cause behind your anxiety and depression. Th...more
