Your wife should get her ultrasound lower abdomen done to see wether abortion is incomplete or it's a failed abortion. Further treatment will depend upon ultrasound report.

Youâll have to get an ultrasound done to confirm that as upt remains positive even after termination for a few weeks.

I am 34 years old. I had a early pregnancy of 38 days. Medical abortion was prescribed by my gynaecologist .given unwanted kit of tablets for three days. I got my periods on the first day of having tablet but with spotting and low level of bleeding. Second day aborted portion of the pregnancy came out with little bleeding. Third day no more bleeding. Fourth and fifth day full of heavy bleeding .sixth day reduced and seventh day no thing. To control bleeding and to remove unwanted waste in uterus my doctor suggest me methergin tablet for three days 2 times a day. On seventh day I had a unprotected sex .now i'm afraid that I may get pregnant again. My period cycle is 28 days. I didn't had that methergin tablet for now. Will it stop pregnancy. Else I need to go for I pill? Is it ok to have with methergin.

Hi. there's almost nil chances of getting pregnant if you have normal menstrual cycle. If worried than go for I pill. Go for sonography also.

I had miso and mifepristone tablets. After 3 week I again consulted. Then doctor gave same tablet for five days and said you want to take it more, still some amount is remaining there. Then I consulted another doctor. She told almost everything gone. You please have vitamin tablet.in prescription it was looking lik utergin. They gave me vitamin. What should I do?

If bleeding has stopped then do urine pregnancy test, if negative then nothing to be done. If pregnancy test positive or bleeding is persistent then get an ultrasound done to see if there are any retained products of conception. And accordingly will have to be managec.

I used to have periods on28 but I missed in feb after 10 days I checked it then the result was positive. So I took unwanted kit nd methergin tablet I was having heavy bleeding. After 10 days of bleeding I rechecked my pregnancy. I found that t line was faint pink nd c line is dark is it possible I am pregnant till now.

No, it may not be the case.
Actually, even after abortion, the hormones in blood and urine remains a little higher for some days.
And the pregnancy test we do is based on these hormones. So you can get false positive.

Hello doctor. My girlfriend just got her medical abortion done. It has been 4 days since she took her mifepristone tablet. And 12 hours later she took misoprostol tablets. She completed the course. Got heavy bleeding with clots. And the bleeding reduced the next day. She felt absolutely fine after 2 days even though there was minimal bleeding. But today her bleeding increased again (not as heavy as the first day) considerably. Should I give her METHERGIN ? .i have tried to take her to a gynec but she is will not allow me .please help me.

I am having pcod. And I am taking homeopathic treatment since from 3 months for irregular periods. And now due to lighten I am having 1 month gap of medicines. N from last 2-3 months I am not having proper periods. This month I got period on proper date but only spotting for 10 days and after 10 days m having excess bleeding from 10 days n it's not stopping. My homeopathy Dr. gave me recently 1 allopathy tablet (methergin) to stop. Which it did not stop yet. What should I do now to stop bleeding.

Hi Lybrate user, please get a proper gynaec checkup and ultrasonography. For bleeding take primolut n 5 mg thrice a day for 7-10 days, and tranexa mf for five days. Bleeding will stop do not take methergin. U will have a withdrawal after this and then start yasmin one of for 21 days. Take this for six cycles. And then get evaluated by a gynaec. My last lmp date is10/02/2020. I had unprotected sex on 12/02/2020. After bhcg test, it is found that I am pregnant. I took misoprostol (6 tablet twice a day) on 17/03/2020 prescribed by my doctor. After 13 days tvs was done, in tvs incomplete abortion present. Again my doctor prescribed me 10 tablets of misoprostol and methergin on 31/03/2020. My period didn't come until 13/04/2020, unfortunately I had protected sex on 14/04/2020 and condom broke up. I took meprate 10 mg for 5 days on 15/05/2020. After 6 days of taking meprate I saw brown discharge from vagina. My bhcg is less than 0.1 on 26/04/2020. On 28th april I got some bleeding with abdominal pain it was not regular type but from 29th april to today I got regular light bleeding I couldn't able to determine is the sign of implantation bleeding or period.
