Sir, I had an choroidal plexus AVM in the right temporal horn of the lateral ventricle. Due to surgical complications, I had underwent Gamma knife radiosurgery on May 2017. And they asked to report after 6 months with MRI. In the MRI of brain, there is impressions said that, A case of right temporal AVM-post Gamma knife surgery Few residual tortuous vessels in the right media, posterior, temporal lobe with adjoining gliotic changes. After seeing this report and MRI doctors said that AVM is still in that size no enlargements and shrinking takes some time. I was early taking eptoin tablets. Due to some side effects like in-activeness they given levipil 500 mg tablets instead of eptoin. Is there any side effects associated with this. How long do I need to take these tablets. I also feel pulse in my forehead sometimes severe pulse which cause headaches. And elevated heart beat. What's the reason for it. Does this gliosis affects my memory. Please help me in detail.

My son is 3 years 5 months old. He hits himself and becomes aggressive and behaves violently he hits his head on the wall, he hits his throat stomach and so. So we consulted a pediatrician and through EEG we came to know that he is having abnormal epilepsy activity. He is taking EPTOIN, piracetam and VALPARIN syrup from july but it continues the same and it is becoming really worse. He started hitting his head and biting others at the age of 2.we thought as he is kid he will change when he grown up. But if we dint give anything he wants or if we talk to him politely not to hit his head on the wall or something else also he starts hitting himself. And the attack continues till half an hour. If we tries to stop him he become more aggressive. My wife was admitted 25 days in hospital for second baby delivery he dint see his mom for 20 days and one day he came with us to the hospital after seeing my wife is having a baby on her lap he started behaving more aggressive than the before for the past two months .when he become aggressive he hits the baby as well. He is not sleeping deeply at night he starts crying and hitting himself at the midnight time. He is not even eating properly. If we say anything he repeats the same to us. And he says the same sentence again and again. It is very difficult to capture a video of him as he hits his throat and stomach we will be stopping him. He is taking EPTOIN - 5 ml, piracetam SYRUP (NOOTROPIL)-5 ml, VALPARIN-5 ml at the night time an EPTOIN - 5 ml, VALPARIN-5 ml during morning. Please help me and suggest us what to do to stop this?

It is not clear whether baby gets injured while he is hitting himself. If it is not so, he may have tantrum. It is advisable to consult either pediatrician or psychiatrist. Since EEG showing abnormal changes, continue treatment as per advice of your doctor.

Consult your doctor to change Levera to Eptoin. Behavioral issues do come up in some patients on Levera.

Dr. I am a patient of sdh operated and taking medical treatment from ganga ram hospital now I am taking medicine eptoin twice daily and hoist one at night and amtas-5 twice I have been operated on 3rd of September 2014 now I feel fast beating when I walked more than two km while morning walk and while sleeping I feel some sputum type in my mouth which is make me breathing difficult but it is not a balgum and some time weakness feeling whether it is due to medicine and for how much time I have to take this medicine.

I want to now that this tablet is compulsory for three years. And what things I have to eat. And can I travel any where And before this I have typhoid and I am admitted for 3 days is this sezuire is reaction of this typhoid treatment.

1. The treatment of epilepsy should continue for 3 years and then tapered gradually if eeg is normal.
2. No specific diet is known to help epilepsy
3. Epilepsy cannot be a reaction of your typhoid treatment.

I am 29 years old. I have been taking medicine levipil 500 mg (1 tab) nd eptoin 100 mg (3 tab) since 2005. Doctor told me I have seizure. I am aware when I am about to seizure ,my ring finger starts to jerk and slowly I am able to feel my nerves gettingtwisted on my back and then a beep sound after that I am out. Whats happening to me can any one say to me. You have epilepsy, that is recurrent tendency to seize or have fits. Medications available for the same help in controlling the frequency of fit and maintaining a stable seizure free state. Duration for continuation of treatmnet depends upon how what was the seizure free interval while on medications. If this was more than 3 years, then medications can be considered for tapering and stopping treatmnet. However this has to be done under the close supervision of the treating physician.

Hi, my dad has been diagnosed with TB spine (after 2 MRI's and 1 PET scan. Once he started his TB meds, his weight came down drastically and now he's bed ridden (severe back pain unable to walk). The doc we consulted recently has suggested surgery. The serious concern is that my dad is a diabetic (8 yrs) and also has an infarct in his brain for which he takes blood thinners (eptoin. Kindly advise whether it is advisable to go ahead with the surgery.

Eptoin is not a blood thinner and rcinex e is not a correct dose to treat tuberculosis. Yes can go for surgery after benifit and risk assessment.

Hi Sir/Mam, I am patient of TB on left side head thats why 2 timed I face fit and my treatment is continue since 11 month with Dr. Anil Gupta and he advised me below mention medicine 1.R-cinex 600 mg 1 time in morning 2.Pyzina 750 mg two times but now Dr. Advised me don't take it now 3.Eptoin 100 mg *3 at bed time Dr. told me that your disease has been sort out now fit should not come again Now, Dr. Advised me that take eption 100 mg of 2 tablet and I am continue taking this but my problem is that I feel very weak and my body little bit vibrate when I walk feel some time I will fall down and my whole body and mind feel light and I feel perplex and my pulse raise. Please advise me soon.

Rcinex needs to be taken for a year and Apart from taking symptomatic treatment we should take anti epileptic medication levipil instead of eptoin atleast for a year
