Lybrate-user bleeding from gums for this problem kindly visit dental surgeon and get scaling and polishing done advantage is-- a well planned scaling and polishing procedure will remove plaque and leave your teeth feeling nice and smooth. This will also prevent bacteria sticking to them. Which can lead to the build up of tartar. And, it will help to prevent gum disease, and keep teeth healthy. Take vitamin c 500mg daily and use chlorhexidine mouthwash.

First of all, a mouthwash has to be used for a reason. And only be prescribed by your dentist. Its not a very good practice to just randomly buy a mouthwash and start using it.
And if a mouthwash is prescribed, it should be used because it reaches to those spaces in-between your teeth and gums where the toothpaste can reach.

Toothpaste can prevent cavity upto certain extent. But one the cavity is formed it cannot heal itself. You need get it filled with cement. As enamel is formed only once in life. Unlike other body part it cannot repair it self.
