You mentioned only TSH level you didn't mention T3 T4 level. Based on which medication should be started. Thyroxin is what is present in body and levothyroxin is synthetic version of thyroxin what companies produce. Please don't start any such tablets on your own without a doctors advice. Feel free to contact me here if you have any queries anytime with reports.

Hello,White patches on your skin are a common type of depigmented skin lesion associated with an infection, allergy, or autoimmune disorder. One common cause of white spots, or hypopigmentation, is a fungal infection of the skin known as tinea versicolor (associated with other symptoms, such as itching or dryness on or around the white patches). This fungal infection is not contagious and can be treated easily with over-the-counter medications.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
TSH 89.00 mU/L is too high, suggesting presence of uncontrolled hypothyroidism. So it is good that you are already on Levothyroxine. Please check TSH level after 6 weeks to see if there is desired reduction. It should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L. Then only all the symptoms are in check. Thanks.

Please do not take medicines on your own as it is not the right approach. Let the doctor examine you (physical examination and checking the vitals is an important part of clinical examination ). Moreover it requires regular monitoring (regular investigations) to assess how your body is adjusting. So start with the treatment after visiting the doctor. Meanwhile, please take good care of your health by adapting a healthy lifestyle. Avoid all bad habits. Exercise every day which will improve your i...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
TSH 57.08 mU/L, shows it is confirmed hypothyroidism. Hence the treatment is also correct. Please ensure that TSH level is maintained between 3 to 4 mU/L, with adequate dosage of thyroxine. So please check TSH after 6 to 8 weeks, if the level is still above the recommended range, then there is a need to increase the dose further.
Plus it is necessary to take the drug early morning on empty stomach, then nothing to be taken for at least 1 to 1 and half hour. P...more

lybrate-user ji, Thanks for the query.
Madam, Hypothyroidism is a hormone (thyroxine) deficiency disease. Since this hormone is required for day to day functioning of various metabolic actions and for normal functioning of brain, it has to be supplemented daily that too for lifetime. There is NO NATURAL WAY to cure this condition. I hope you understand. Thanks.

Do you have an extremely low reading of thyroxine or T4, it means that you are suffering from an under active thyroid disease called hypothyroidism. With this condition, your thyroid glands fail to make sufficient thyroid hormones. The thyroid gland releases hormones, which travel all over your bloodstream and affect all parts of the body. Thyroid controls how the cells of the body use energy from food via the metabolism process, which in turn affects the body s temperature, heartbeat and burnin...more
