A stone stuck in mid ureter will not be expelled out by taking medications, medical expulsive therapy is effective only in lower ureteric calculi, if you are having pain, it is a sign that your ureter is obstructed and slowly there is swelling developing in your kidney, visit your urologist immediately and get your stone treated by ureteroscopic laser fragmentation and retreival +/- stenting.
