1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day
in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Tail bone pain also known as coccydynia is due to trauma or repeated microtrauma. Esp in people with prolonged sitting jobs. Dear lybrate user. You should use doughnut pillow (tyre tube line for sitting) and sitz bath daily. Follow these measures for 1 month.

1. Apply diclofenac gell and after 20 minutes prepare hot water in a tub expose the affected area and sit in it for 20 mins (sits bath)
2. Get a doughnut pillow and use it for sitting
3.If there is no improvement counsult physio and apply ultrasound therapy

- Avoid sitting on hard surface, put a cushion or a pillow whenever you are sitting, also do not sit for too long
- do back exercises to strengthen the coccygeal & spinal muscles to reduce pain
- apply pain relief gel three times a day
- take pain relief tablet after meals if pain is more
- if pain is too much consult a doctor as injectables may be required to improve the condition.
