Sir my age is 54 ,my doctor prescribed me to take histavert 24 mg tab and stugeron forte three times a day for vertigo issue. Will you please suggest whether it is advisable to take three times a day or not? And I am getting pain in the upper jaw right side of mine ,when shown to dentist he is telling it is not a dental problem and consult a neurologist like that. Will you please explain the reason why I am getting this pain I had copy of mri report which was taken ten days back. Please help me in this.

Vertigo and migrane often cause pain in upper jaw which is very much similar to tooth aches, it's called referd type of pain. If the migrane or vertigo is treated promptly definetely you will be relived of your pain. Regarding dosage your physician is the right person to decide the dose as per your clinical conditions. Sir my father is non diabetic, non hypertension, & post lumbar laminectomy, & cervical laminectomy, both lumbar & cervical fusion done. He had left ear some ringing sound since from 5 years. Now he is getting giddiness & profuse sweeting. We have consult to ent doctor, diagnosed as meniere disease? Not confirmed. They adived tab vertin 16 mg bd, tab stugeron bd. But now also he complaints of giddiness. please help me.

Giddiness may be due cervical prblm or can be due to the ringing of ear. Go for tablet stugeron plus twice a day for 5-7 days. You need to approach ent specialist for proper examination of ear and hearing assessment test.

Dear sir once 3 years ago and a year ago I was attacked with bppv and used vertin course and came to normal max. Now once again it's been a month and half 3 days once it's getting attacked though I am on vertin 32 per day .apart from too much reeling during sleep, terrible dizziness, fog and pull in head. Is my problem permanent? No ear infections found. Please do suggest and save me from my chronic health condition.

I am having ringing in my left ear and balance problems from past one month, feeling tilted towards one side while sitting and feeling as if I might fall during walking. I had a checkup with ENT professor, when I asked could it be due to 'Meniere' he said its not Meniere. He prescribed me Cinnarizine 75 mg and Betahistine 48 mg for 15 days and said if the symptoms don't go away after 15 days, see a Neurologist. Can someone tell me whats the real problem. I don't think its some Neurological problem like a stroke or multiple sclerosis because I don't have another symptoms other than Tinnitus and balance problem. Also I am taking 50 microgram Thyroxine sodium for my hypothyroid ailment from past 7 months. Thanks.

Menier's disease is not that common at this age.
Whether you have any neurological issue or not that can be known by proper test like CT scan etc.
So better take tests.

Sir I had otitis media one year ago which bought symptoms of vertigo dizziness and tinnitus but it was solved by an ear procedure of draining of fluid but after that I had permanent tinnitus in left ear and dizziness and body tended to fall towards one side or balancing problem my PTA test was normal ENT Dr. gave me BETAHISTINEDIHDROCHLORIDE cinnarizine AND dimenhydrinate but still balance disorder and tinnitus in left ear is there one Dr. diagnosed it as meniere disease so sir what to do.

You would have had SOM (secretory otitis media) Fluid must have got collected behind the ear drum for which that procedure must have been done. They would have inserted a drainage tube (called a grommet) into the ear which gets expelled on its own after some weeks. The tinnitus & vertigo that you have is not on account of the minor surgery that you have undergone. The inner ear is responsible for the two symptoms of tinnitus & vertigo. Hello lybrate-user. To me your symptoms seem to be suggestive of cervical spondylosis. I would advise to consult a physician to check for same. You should also get your cholestrols levels checked in view of the stroke history in family and your stressful job.
