lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
The iformation given is very little to give any opinion. I need to know full details like fasting, PP & HbA1c%, dietary pattern extent of daily exercise, total medications being taken with exact dosage. Plus please clarify in your "medical conditions" there is a mention as T1 diabetes. If that is the case then how is that you are on Diamicron? Because T1 DM is only treated with Insulin Injection. No other anti diabetic drugs is used. Thanks.

Nice to see your blood sugars are well controlled. You need not increase the dose, as it can lead to hypoglycemia which can be very dangerous at times
unfortunately diabetes is a progressive disease and over a period of time you may have to increase the dosages as insulin secretion declines and blood sugar starts increasing.

Lybrate-user, being a diabetic and also over weight now going in for hypertension, You must make an active effort to lose weight. Brisk walk for 45 min to 60 min. Also keep ac heck on your diet. Lastly, if your BMI id high, Metabolic keyhole surgery is a valid option which will give you a 3 fold benefit of weight loss, remission of type 2 diabetes.

I presume he underwent prostate surgery for benign enlargement and cancer was detected incidentally. Hopefully an MRI and bone scan was done for staging to confirm that its a localised disease. We advise watchful waiting or active surveillance for those with localised, early stage and low risk disease or intermediate risk disease in patients with very high comorbidities, reducing the life expectancy of <10 years.
