My wife is undergoing treatment for scabies and apart from her previous medicine doctor started new medicine called medrol 16 mg and after taking that my wife started vomiting and loose motion. Kindly suggest if above mentioned tablet is right for scabies.

Medrol is an oral steroid, usualy given in dermatology to control acute allergic or inflammatory condition. It's not an absolute treatment of scabies but it can be used in uncontrolled inflammation or pruritis due to scabies in some cases. This should not be prolonged and tapered gradually. Meanwhile continue the scabies treatment.

I am suffering nasal blockage for past 3 days. I do not have fever, headache oe vomiting. I cannot breathe through my nose. I took medrol 8 mg and it was fine for 2 days, when I stopped the tablet again the nose is blocked from breathing. I am not able to sneeze. What is the problem actually I am having and need advise.

No need to panic bcoz that fungal infection occurs rarely so you should have regular check up with same to whom you r consulting doctor for this, and don't worry be calm.

Hello sir, I am 24 year old I am suffering from arthritis from last 10 years Some of my tests are C reactive protein 21 mg/l Ra factor 17.8 iu/ml Uric acid 5.6 mg/dl Anti CCP <0.5 u/ml HLA b27 negative SGPT (ALT ) 19 iu/l RA factor 17.8 iu/ml ESR 15 mm/hr I tried allopathy ayurvedic and homeopathic treatment . But still suffering from disease And now my ankle hips and knees fusion. From last two month I am taking these tablets Sazo 1g twice a day Calten d 500 twice a day Retoz 90. Once a day Folitrax 7.5. Twice a week Folvite 5 twice a week Uprise - d3 60 k once a week Depo -medrol once a week And now my condition is very very chronic . Very high pain in right hip And high pain in ankle, knee, wrist, shoulder and neck. Now I am unable to stand so laying on bed and crying all the day and night. Do note one thing when I take these medicine I feel better for 1 month but after one month pain increased very high level . Before 2 years I took these medicines and then I felt better for one month after that pain increased. So I stopped these medicine and got ayurveda treatment for 2 years but didn't get relief. So I again consulted to rheumatologist and he prescribed me again to take these medicine and now again 1 month relief and after that pain is very very high. Sir why these tablets give me relief only for one month. Is any medicine not suits me. Or I should reduce dose of tablets. Or tablets are not right choice for me.

Hi lybrate-user sorry to hear about you. But if your joint are fused then replacement of hip or knee might be a better option. The medicatios seem to be good but if they are not working ask your rheumatologist to try anti tnf injections, might be a bit expensive but worthwhile.

I'm 40 years old. Since 2 years I have been suffering from phlegm, cough, shortness of breath while walking briskly and climbing steps. I took 2d echo scan also it is normal. I went to pulmonologist he prescribed medrol (steroid) for three months. When I was using medrol I had no shortness of breath while walking briskly and climbing steps, cough and phlegm. But, after the course is over I developed those symptoms again. Steroids should not be used for longer period. Please suggest solution for my problem. Will it be cured or I have to suffer life long. Sometimes I don't get sleep properly suddenly I wake up as if my breathing is getting stopped and I feel rapid heart beat. All thees are happening when I developed breathing problem since 2 years. Please suggest me sir.

You should have a Chest Xray first.. And should reveal out what is exact problem.. 2 years are a worried point..
It may be symptom of bronchial asthma, or infection, Bronchitis, or sometimes heart problem like LVH like that or may be another unfortunate disease.... it may be hereditary..
So need to diagnose..

My wife 68 years suffers from copd for 10 years and pah (developed 3 years back). Gets swelling in feet. Lives on 3-4 litre oxygen 24×7. Also uses bipap in night and sos. No fever no cough but breathlessness month after medrol course. Her doctor normally repeats medrol course (about 12 days 16 mg, 12 mg, 8 mg, 4 mg three days each). Suggestions please. Kindly first let me know if alternative medicine is a solution to this problem.

Restricted fluid intake to 1.5 litre/day and chest physiotherapy - breathing exercises, every 4 hours, limb exercises, graded increase in their levels, vaccination against pneumocpccal and influenza can be done. Not forgetting round the clock inhalers with spacer technique, additionally when required and oral bronchodilators. Steroids intake can be delayed by using above options.

I have a bump in my palm, finger and between fingers. It is a kind of eczema seems. About 2 1/2 years ago had same problem and my doctor prescribed me zempred16 mg and I got relief with the problem. Now due to lock down, I am not in a position to go to any doctor. So I took medrol8 mg for 3 days and medrol 16 mg for 3 days. Till this tablet I took, I found almost relief. But 1 of the bump in small finger got poped and that didn't heal and because of this again it has started and now it is even more. For this I have consulted with regular physician he he has given me megamentin625 6 tablets for 3 days. That also I have taken, but the bump (watery) not gone. Still as it is or even increased a bit. Can I again taken. zempred 16 mg, is it safe. Kindly suggest some good cream and tablets for get rid out of it.

I have a sensitive combination skin. From last two months at least thrice now I have had small white pimples over my forehead and chin.
