Hello sir. If you have exogenous oochronosis which often occurs due to application of hydroquinone, then it is advisable to use products which do not contain it. Demelan cream contains arbutin which is a form of naturally occuring hydroquinone. I would advise you to consult a certified dermatologist near your area and get the black spots checked. The cream is a nice one but don't use it unsupervised, better to get a consultation done.

Dear sir, there is no conclusive evidence that it Hydroquinone is definitely related to cancer or not. But cosmetic products do contain chemicals and should be user with caution. Any burning sensation or allergic reaction, it should be discontinued.

Hydroquinone is not a steroid, it is a phenol derivative used to treat hyperpigmentation. It is not safe to use for a long time. For active pimples use clindymycin/ b.peroxide/ adapalene cream or whatever cream used earlier prescribed by a dermatolgist.
