I have acute body ache , fever , weakness since 4/5 days . Had cefixime 200 and Dolo 650 but still same condition . My whole body feeling like cold especially aching in Legs . Kindly suggest what should I go for .

I am suffering from cold from last 1 week. I am coughing grey phlegm with some blood spots in the morning from last 3 days. I can notice these blood spots only in morning. Health Query

I get cold, cough and throat infection in changing weather. My doctor gives me an antibiotic (Cefixime and azithromycin) 250 mg. Medicine name is pace 250. Now when I got to know that these are not good for long term. I try not to take these but normal medicines don't help me now in getting relief. What should I do now so I don't need these antibiotics. Please suggest. Thank you.

I am 77 and have BPH. About 3 months back, I had UTI which was treated with cefixime and cured. The Dr. advised to take Urimax D and operation TURP. He also advised to take Niftas one daily until the surgery is done to prevent infection. Is it safe to take Niftas continuously for long periods? Do Urimax D and Niftas cause vertigo /dizziness?

Dizziness and vertigo is due to urimax, thats why it's advised to take it at bed time. And the symptoms are much more common if you are on antihypertesive medication, .so it's advisable to take antihyertesive medicine in day time and urimax just before going to bed. Niftran is the safest long term prophylactic antibiotic.

These all are medicine is ok, but he advised for other test, you did not asked is it jaundice or any other disease, etc get information, need more history regarding your diagnosis for which he is treating you.
