Hello. It was an unfortunate event that she had to go through. Chemical injuries of any form can be highly dangerous to the eyes, caustic injuries being the most serious ones. Immediate washing of the affected part (eye and neck) for a long time (20-30 mins) with at least around 1.5-2 litres under running tap water is highly recommended.
